Forest Fridays: Norwood Blvd. Tree Maintenance

May 29 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Free

Help us maintain trees we’ve planted along Norwood Boulevard in the historic Norwood neighborhood of Birmingham! Did you know that Cool Green Trees is committed to caring for the trees we plant up to 2-3 years after planting? These early years are crucial for the long-term viability of newly planted trees–and given we’ve planted over 1,300 trees, we need your help!

We’ll be adding some mulch and topsoil around our trees at this event. Meet us around the historic Norwood Trolley Stop (Google Map).

Important Details: Please email us at CGToutreach@cawaco.org to RSVP.* We are keeping an eye on the weather and will email those who signed up by Thursday afternoon if we need to reschedule due to rain.

When: Friday, May 29, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Address: Historic Norwood Trolley Stop, 3201-3203 Norwood Blvd., Birmingham, AL 35234 (street parking only)

Age Requirement: 18+ or minors accompanied by a parent/guardian.

What to Bring: Wear long pants, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and closed-toed shoes for safety. Bring water to stay hydrated, sunscreen, bug spray, and a sun hat if you like.
