POSTPONED: Rooted in Community: Volunteer & Community Appreciation Event

October 10 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Free

UPDATE: *POSTPONED*

Due to the potential for severe weather this Saturday, 10/10, including strong winds, heavy rain, and possible isolated tornadoes, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our two events:
  1. Our inaugural Cool Green Trees Advisory Council Tree Planting: Growing a Cooler BHM in Lakeview from 9–11 a.m.; and
  2. Our first Rooted in Community: Volunteer & Community Appreciation Event from 12-2 p.m. at High Dive and Lakeview Marina
The safety of our volunteers and partners is of utmost importance to us, and we will communicate as soon as we have a new date for both of these events! Stay safe this weekend!
****************************************************************************

Anyone who has ever volunteered with us and organizations who have partnered with us are invited to our inaugural Rooted in Community: Volunteer & Community Appreciation Event from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, October 10, at High Dive Hifi Lounge and Lakeview Marina.

Food and beverages will be provided for our volunteers and community partners. We’ll also have a short awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. as a thank-you for some special volunteers and partners, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! We are truly grateful for every one of you, and we plan to make this an annual event to show our appreciation. It takes a village!

Important Details: Space is limited, and registration is requested by noon October 1st for catering purposes. Miss the RSVP deadline? Email us at CGToutreach@cawaco.org with your first and last name, group name (if applicable), and let us know how many plan on attending.

Address: High Dive Hifi Lounge, 524 32nd St. S., Birmingham, AL 35233
